Through my experience working with resin and being able to freeze fluid in time, I wanted to capture an icy waterfall with gold flakes throughout to emulate the Yukon Gold Rush.
I have had the honour to showcase this piece at a few art markets and events, and always love the reactions people have to the piece coming out towards them and explaining the process of using resin.
Through my experience working with resin and being able to freeze fluid in time, I wanted to capture an icy waterfall with gold flakes throughout to emulate the Yukon Gold Rush.
I cut out sections on the canvas and used resin to create pools for the light to shine through, also adding a light behind the waterfall to light it up in the dark.

The process of curing the UV resin using a UV Light was one of the most fun and interesting parts of creating this piece.
